Science
Subject specialists teach Science separately from Remove (Year 7). Each teacher has his or her own specially designed laboratory in which to teach. The students take GCSE science in the Lower Transits (Year 9) and then go on to take at least one (but usually more) of the single subject biology, chemistry or physics examinations. There is a high take up of the science subjects at Advanced level.
Science subjects are very popular and the department is proud of its examination results both at GCSE and A level. Many girls go on to study science related subjects at university.
